Also known as a telephone tap, this device connects between the telephone line to be monitored and the tape recorder. The telephone will then automatically switch on the recorder and record both sides of the conversation whenever a telephone on that line is used. When the telephone is not used, the recorder switches off thus preventing tape wastage.
A telephone transmitter is a small device which is connected to the telephone line or concealed inside a telephone socket, double adaptor or in the telephone itself. It will then transmit both sides of conversations and can be monitored using a receiver or it can automatically record with a receiver/recorder which can be located some distance away.
We offer a comprehensive counter surveillance service where we come into your premises and make an intensive electronic sweep to ensure your privacy or we can supply the equipment to enable you to have peace of mind in your private or business environment.
Long recording cassette recorders are available with double or triple recording time. They are only helpful for recording if they provide an efficient tone quality on playback. The factor which affects surveillance recording is the noise characteristic of the tape.
For totally professional equipment to ensure clarity and distance we suggest that our VHF and UHF transmitters/receivers be used. Because these are crystal tuned and locked, they provide total stability. No tuning is required, simply turn on and listen. Our VHF range operates on 173 MHZ, while the UHF are set between 398 - 418 MHZ.
